Stage Dive At Beacon Theater?

Didn't Dylan once dive into the audience at the Beacon Theater?

The Beacon incident actually occurred on October 13, 1989. I was there.

He didn't actually DIVE into the crowd. He took his guitar off and played a mean harp solo during "Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat". He kept walking to the edge of the stage, and then suddenly lowered himself to the floor in front of the stage. He ran out of microphone cord, so he dropped it on the stage, and played harp (sans microphone) as he walked right through the first row and out the door on to the street. The band had no idea what was going on, and churned out another two or three minutes of "LSPB Hat". GE Smith ran over to the side of the stage to get some advice on what to do, and the crew was equally at a loss. Finally, they wrapped up the song. Bob was probably already in a cab :-)
